A Brief History Of Italian Industrial Design

I’m an Italian Architect and interior designer, working on site and online on residential and commercial projects, and passionated about graphic design, web and photography. Giorgio Armani S.p.A. is an Italian fashion house founded by Giorgio Armani which designs, manufactures, distributes and retails haute couture, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories, eyewear, cosmetics and home interiors.italian design

The space itself contains all the expected elements, although the deceptively familiar surroundings are not innocently functional but rather tease the viewer, thus provoking new kinds of behavior around the perception of what sexy is, and around the idea of contemporary design.

Since then Italian companies such as Alessi, Driade, Moroso or Flos work together with renowned international Designers like Jasper Morrison , Konstantin Gric, Philippe Starck or Ron Arad This is one reason why the creations can not be easily classified as Italian Design, but it is also the reason why they are successful all over the world.

We have some products that were designed by Morrison or other designers 20 years ago that were at the beginning maybe too avant-garde, but we sell more now than in the past. Sculpting and bending craftsmanship, together with the engraving ability, enable to create amazing shapes, monolithic pieces of furniture, born from a detailed design. Much of Italian life happens in the kitchen, with the never-ending cycle of cooking, talking and eating. The show brings together 650 objects designed by 400 Italian women, or female designers working for Italian companies. And when I speak about Far East, I’m not speaking only about China, because for contemporary design China takes more time, but there are a lot of countries.italian designitalian design

Often described as design royalty”, Moroso counts Urquiola and fashion doyenne Miuccia Prada as her close friends, and is one of the visionary women at the helm of contemporary design. Seamlessly incorporating classical ideas with fresh global influences, J&V Italian Design entices designers and design aficionados alike. An Italian phenomenon in the late 1960s was that the gap between industrial production and experimental alternative designs was associated with some designers and manufacturers. We decided to design and produce, together with the Nike team, tailored textures that were applied as lampshades.
